High schooler and author Rachel Williams jumping for joy with her hands up in the air

About Rachel

Rachel Williams is a high school student who had been biting her fingernails since childhood, until the day she decided she wanted beautiful, healthy nails. Her grandma, Barbara Williams, gave her a rubber band and asked her to snap it each time she had the urge to bite her fingernails, and before she knew it, her nails started growing. It was not long before a manicure was her next reward. She was so excited she decided to write a book to help other teens grow their nails using Sammi Super Snapper as a tool.

Collaborators

Grandma Barb used her marketing background to help Rachel, and James Clark, a well-known graphic designer in Seattle, created the beautiful designs in the book. James graduated with honors from Art Center College of Design and was recognized by Champion Corporation as one of the Top 12 New Designers in the nation. He has served regionally on the boards of the American Institute of Graphic Arts, the American Marketing Association, and Seattle Advertising Federation.
